Forum File Size Restriction

Basically, the restriction for file sizes on the forum is rather small. Is there a way it can be enlarged? For Ex: I can't even use a small GIF for signature or profile picture. =L

I'm sure the restriction is there so that the server isn't bogged down with large files.

It's actually because some people have slow internet connections. If everyone uses large signatures, the fourms take forever to load on their computer, every time they open a new page.

A bunch of flashy signatures can be annoying and distracting anyway.
